Grooves class has arrived to Bootcamp Goddess studio !

In a world telling us to follow suit, it is time to break free, explore our individual uniqueness and embrace our inner funky selves!  Groove classes are fitness classes for the mind, body and soul.   Groovin’ is exploring movement to great music to make your body feel good and to create vibrant health in your body.  Classes infuse positive mind and body messaging and inspire participants to connect to their SELF.  In discovering your body and how it wants to move and express, you will reveal a new attitude which can permeate into all areas of your life, opening us up to a whole new way of being, a unique way of being, YOUR way.

Developing a New Mindset is the Key to Having it All

Committing to a daily workout, minimum of four days a week, is key. What is the one sure way to ensure you do that? You must reprogram your mind. You must stop seeing yourself as someone who is on a diet, “trying “ to lose weight, fat, or pounds. Let’s say you are a non-smoker, on your way to the store to buy a magazine. You do not think before going to the store, “I hope I can avoid the temptation to buy cigarettes.” No, you see yourself as a non-smoker. The thought of buying cigarettes does not enter your mind when you are in the store.  Read more here

Fitness: Recovery from Overindulgence

The season of overindulgence has passed. You survived or you wouldn’t be reading this. How much damage was done is open to perception. Did you go for seconds at the family events? Did you fill up on potatoes, gravy, pies and bread? Or were you tipping the elbow? If you enjoyed both food and drink with wild abandonment, you are not alone! No need to feel guilty or be hard on yourself when you need to squeeze your butt and thighs into your pants. This is a quick intense workout to do just before hopping into the shower before a holiday event.  Increase your metabolism to help deal with the

food and drinks you will partake in! Merry Christmas!

10 Burpies
10 Pushups
10 Jump Squat
20 Cross mountain climbers
Complete 5 rounds fast as possible or as many rounds as you have time for before jumping into the shower

Advanced workout -
50 Burpies
50 Pushups
50 Jump Squat
100 Cross mountain climbers
Complete one round fast as possible

Holiday Bootcamp 2011

Enter 2012 with a fun and dynamic 2 weeks of bootcamp to get your body and mind ready to create the leanest healthiest you in 2012! The Warrior Dash is only 7 months away, start training NOW!

Camps will run Tuesday, December 27th thru to Saturday, January 7th. 9 camps in 12 days!

Weekly Challenge – December 1st 2011

Complete 10 sets of 10 pushups. Perform all 10 sets with a recovery break in between each set, or if that is too much perform the 10 sets thru out the day. Complete the challenge at least 4 times over the next 7 days.

What makes up your body composition, your overall health and how you feel naked are better indicators of how much you may need to tweak your eating habits and workout schedule. You are fabulous!! Labour Day Weekend 2011

Hello Goddess,
Labour Day Weekend is here again! Back to school, less patio and dock time, and cooler temps! Perfect time for outdoor workouts!
Here is a quick workout to do this weekend in the city or upnorth should you be lucky enough to be there!!
Ensure you warmup before beginning this workout.
Workout time 15 mins total
Complete 30 seconds of each movement with no rest in between each
Burpess
pushups
prisoner squats
cross mountain climbers
Froggers
Jacks
Walking lunges
Plank
Rest 60 seconds
Complete 3 rounds. Stay strong, stay focused!
A great body and excellent health is not hard….It’s a choice!
