All my life I have been very active and found athletics came very easily to me. I have been swimming since I was less than three and running with my Dad since I was 10 or 11 however along came 2007 and the birth of my first child & 40lbs. That weight came off fairly easily but the birth of my second child exactly two years later in 2009 and another 40 pounds did not! I went up and down from 2009 until 2011 and then I went to a wedding in August 2011 and saw pictures of myself and I looked like I was pregnant all over again!
Reality check time! A dear friend of mine Jennifer O’Leary (Bootcamper since August 2008) suggested I talk to Sandra and see if Bootcamp Goddess would do for me what it did for you four years ago when she shed an incredible 80lbs. Continue reading here….

In the two weeks that I’ve taken Bootcamp Goddess, I’ve lost a pants size! I’ve gone from size 11 pants to a size 10, and my tops fit me so much better! Everyone has been telling me that they’re seeing a change in my weight and complimenting the way I look, which is such an self esteem boost! Thanks to all your advices, I’ve become more aware of what I’m eating and have actually stopped drinking pop (this is huge for me!), I stay away from processed foods, and have finally put my treadmill to use after a long time! My diet is so much better and I feel great. I’m seeing a really positive change in myself in such a short period of time. Thanks for being so patient with me and motivating me to push myself more and more each class, knowing you believe in me makes me believe in myself too. Thank you for being so supportive, you’re truly an inspiration. I’ll definitely continue to spread the word about Bootcamp Goddess!

Here are some steps you can take to cleanse yourself of unwanted habits this spring:

1. Remove all processed foods from your home. Chips, ice cream, crackers, canned fruits and veggies, pop, and the like. If it didn’t at one time grow on a tree, vine or in the ground, swim, walk or fly, get rid of it. When cravings hit, and they will, no matter where you hide it, you will find it. Don’t do that to yourself! Just don’t have it in your home. If you live with a partner who doesn’t fully support your journey, here is a suggestion. I have clients who do this and it works well. They have a locked box where the unsupportive partner keeps all the toxic substances. Chips, cookies, milk chocolate etc. Only that person holds the key and vows to NEVER give the key to or open the box in your presence. Of course the best case scenario is you have a partner who supports your desire for overall optimal health, but that again is another article. Continue article here

By the time this article hits the web, there will be less than ten weeks to the May 24th long weekend. To those of us in Canada, this is epic! Our first real taste of warmth, time with friends, and if we’re fortunate maybe it will mean time spent on a dock with a cold one in hand on a lake in Muskoka! Our first long weekend to kick off the summer. A highlight of the year for those of us who love the outdoors for sure! It also means the first time we may need to shed our winter clothing and expose our bodies to the masses.

How do you feel about that? Do you say “bring it”? Or does it cause panic? “What if someone thinks I look fat? Or worse, flabby? How will I endure?” Will you spend the next four months strategically planning how to avoid all situations where you may have to show your belly, thighs, arms? Luckily for you, girlfriend (or boyfriend), you have more than enough time to firm up and feel more in flow about your body. Guys, you have more muscle and respond to workouts faster, but women are softer so it all works out!

In the big picture, it will do you well not to care so much what others think — but that is another article! Spring is an awesome time to release and purge excess from our lives. It’s a fabulous time to clean out our closets, drawers, cars and even end relationships that are toxic and no longer support who we are and wish to be, as we expand and move forward. 2012 is a year like no other. The speed of energies moving into the planet now, are like no others we have ever experienced on earth. Use them to your full advantage. Know your desire and set forth the energy to create what you want. No other time in history has been as powerful. Harness these energies and create your ideal health and vitality like ever before. To continue the article go here

I literally laughed out loud when I saw the topic for this month’s article. Even the best of us fall off the wagon sometimes, and I have been stuck in many ways the past several weeks. Workouts were sporadic at best. My eating was… well, let’s just say there is plenty of room for improvement, and not mention my affair with coconut cappuccino ice cream! This stuck mode was even stalling my relationship with my man. I wanted to discuss a topic with him for weeks, but didn’t bring it up. I have been the queen of procrastination lately, stuck in the status quo and afraid to move forward. Fear, whether acknowledged or not, is a very powerful inhibitor.

This of course, brings up the question: what is there to be afraid of? To move forward, we typically must let go of something. What we need to let go of, is something we have held tight for a long time and have believed, at one time anyway, that it served us well. In letting go of the past thoughts and habits, we create space for the new: something, someone, some situation which is better than we now experience. The issue with the new is, well, it’s new, unfamiliar, and unknown. What if letting go of the familiar creates something other than what we desire? What if the outcome, the reaction from another, is not what we hope for? Is it better to live with things as they are, even if not in total joy, than to let go and experience the unknown? I say no way. To continue the article go here
